I'm looking for any kind of solution to display mathematical formulas (or just being able to display mathematical signs) within a html document.
We have considered building a small dictionary that dynamically will replace code (like $sqroot) and insert small GIF's instead.
Perhaps this is already done somewhere? Or you might now any source that focuses on this issue.
All hints are very welcome!
Thank you in advance

The gifs idea seems like a neat solution for whatever this doesn't cover. You can also look at dynamic graphic creation, but that would get hairy... Good luck and let us know how you make out!
