Hi ryancys,

I just remember that our compnay had jrun problem and we were able to fix it upgrading to 6.1. We had done some research at that time.
Though our problem was solved quickly while we were researching.
We had the problem and this was the suggestion we were started on but then we did not pursue much. If you have tried this before, sorry for spamming.

Let me know if it is not there, send me email, I will send you my .dll to you.
you can place that in the required directory and follow the previous link.
Let me know quickly, cause I have to go to sleep.

Hi ryancys,

On Windows XP and Windows 2003, if you uninstall JRun prior to running the Updater, you must manually delete the following registry key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\955648EA1E7DC4D4FA99677EE7413103]
"ProductName"="Macromedia JRun 4"

http://livedocs.macromedia.com/jrun/4/Installing_JRun/contents.htm
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/jrun/4/index.html

WorkAround

Use the following steps to troubleshoot this issue:

   1. Determine the security setup for the scripts folder as follows:
         1. Go to ..\Inetpub\scripts directory.
         2. Right click on the resource, and choose Properties and Security from the pop-up menu.
         3. In the security tab, if it is not already present, add the "Everyone" group user to the scripts folder and its contents (such as jrun.ini and jrun.dll), grant all contents full access.
         4. Note: If you are using Windows 2000 Service Pack 2, the "Everyone" group user will be granted full access on the scripts folder and its contents (such as jrun.dll and jrun.ini), by default.

   2. Make sure that you do not have the ISAPI filter installed at both the global and local levels by following the instructions in the article, JRun 3.0: jrun.dll, JSP and IIS scripts directory (Article 16159).

   3. Make sure that you have not installed the ISAPI filter into a physical directory that has not been defined as the virtual Scripts directory for the particular web site. Each virtual web site may have an associated Scripts folder. The ISAPI filter must reside in the physical directory that has been defined as the web site's Scripts folder or an error will occur.

   4. Verify the Application Name parameter under the Application Settings in the Microsoft IIS Web Server Management Console.
         1. Start the IIS Web Server Management Console by going to Start-> Administrative Tools -> Internet Services Manager.
         2. Open the Properties dialog for the "scripts" virtual directory for the server you are trying to configure.
         3. Verify that the Application Name parameter under the Application Settings header in the Virtual Directory tab is not greyed out. If it is greyed out, select Create, Apply and OK.
         4. Also under Application Settings, verify that the Execute Permissions property is set to "Scripts and Executables". If not, click on the drop-down arrow and select "Scripts and Executables". If you do make any changes to these properties, remember to restart the "World Wide Web Publishing Service" from the Windows services panel in order for those changes to take effect.

   5. Restart IIS and JRun for the changes to take effect.

   6. If you have the JRun demos installed, access them through the JRun Web server as http://localhost:8100/demo or through the IIS Web Server as http://localhost/demo (use this URL if IIS is listening on port 80).

good luck
Regards,
---Pinal

Hi ryancys,

no no... I want to help you first if i can. Try to restart it and if you have time, just let me know how things went.
Sorry, I could not undertand what you do you mean by CSS out.
If you want me to try the server access from outside, you can send me link to my personal account or post here so we can work to make it work.
I can not believe that you are working so hard with this problem and I did not participate in your post last time.

Hi ryancys,

try to do this

C:\CFusionMX\bin\connectors\Remove_ALL_connectors.bat

(which removes all CFM mappings from IIS)

and then run:

C:\CFusionMX\bin\connectors\IIS_connector.bat

may be this works.

seems a weird one thou - id suggest few things here ...

1. Check the directory in which ur installing the CFMX [silly one - thou helps at times :)]
2. Check if u have the mappings for the cfm extensions in IIS
[Also i presume that u installed IIS before installing CFMX server & u have selected IIS as ur defualt web server]
     1. open IIS -> right clikc & select properties
     2. go to "home directory" tab
     3. click on configuration
     4. in the "mappings" tab -see if u can locate the mappings for .cfm / .cfc / cfml
     5. if not [which i suppose is the reason for the problem u r facing] add the three mappings with path given  as "C:\CFusionMX\runtime\lib\wsconfig\1\jrun.dll"
     6. restart teh services OR restart teh machine for best results !
3. if u cant see the DLL - do a complete un-install & then re-install of CFMX 6.1.
4. if that dosent work - check ur copy of CFMX, by installing it on some other PC.

let us know ur findings ...
& if things dont work out - pls let us know in detail - what exactly is happening ...
