Does anyone know the proper order that CF 5 Server services should startup. Im trying to clear up errors that occur after the server reboots daily.
In my executive log I have these errors:
"Error","1288","01/12/05",
"Error","1288","01/12/05",
Microsoft says this error is: The RPC server is too busy to complete this operation
So which should be have a dependecy of the RPC service, the Executive or RDS service?
Is RDS dependent on the application or executive service?
Is Application dependent on executive or vice versa?
Any help on the order would be much appreciated.

Back in CF 4 & 4.5 I used to have a batch program that stopped the services in an oder 1,2,3 then restarted in the opposite order 3,2,1. Usually the Application service being stopped first and started last. I went in order from what you see in the Services window, can't remember the specific order now, but I believe it went App, Exec, RDS and then reverse to start. Hope this helps...
Tried a bunch of different orders, got errors on reboot no matter what, seems CF5 its just outdated for today's standards. On a long shot, I'm thinking maybe CF5 is starting before network connectivity is completely available or other things are botching up the works. Will try some other service dependencies and let you know my findings. An example I can base this assumption on is a fresh install of Active Directory on a Win2003 server. It took me at least 5 registry edits before all was fine on a reboot. The best thing to do is figure out what services are doing what and take it from there. Thanks for your comments.

AFAIK RDS, application and executive aren't dependent on each other. So the order shouldn't matter. Besides, I don't think you have a lot of control over the order nor should you be worried with it.
