White space in cold fusion

I have a cf page that returns courses...the more courses CF returns, the more white space it returns...How can I get rid of it (white space)?  I already have  Enable Whitespace Management on in the CF MX admin.  <cfsilent></cfsilent> has been useless...as well as <cfsetting enablecfoutputonly="yes">  anyone have a solution?

you could try to elimate some space by doing this:

    <cfoutput>#someresults#</cfoutput>

instead of
     <cfoutput>
     #someresult#
     </cfoutput>

may be if you are calling any cfc... you can also put the output="no" in the function which will help.

I've tried <CFPROCESSINGDIRECTIVE SUPPRESSWHITESPACE="Yes"> throughout the page without success.  The odd thing is when the output is a low number, like 6 courses, the whitespace isn't there. It's when I'm returning 30 and up, that's when the whitespace expands...

The most effective way to get rid of whitespace: http://www.servletsuite.com/servlets/trimflt.htm

It's a servlet filter you define in [install path of CF]\wwwroot\WEB-INF\web.xml

We have been using this for a while and it works pretty cool.

Only drawback are <textarea> and <pre>. They rely on whitespace to display correctly.
Note, the filter I suggested doesn't take those tags into account either. I'm currently working on one that does, but that's gonna take a while...
