CFDOCUMENT unable to Read Images or CSS sheet

My CFDOCUMENT logic will not work on my "Production" server.  Performs the same whether I use format PDF or FLASHPAPER.  It shows a RED question mark for all images and totally ignores the CSS style sheet.  It will however create a PDF/FP document but has no formatting.  Example:

Testing results:

<cfdocument format="pdf">
hello
<img src="http://livedocs.macromedia.com/images/mm.gif" />
</cfdocument>

<!--- This DOES NOT work if I have a copy of mm.gif on my server --->
<cfdocument format="pdf">
hello
<img src="mm.gif" />
</cfdocument>

<!--- This will display the image in the browser just perfectly --->
<img src="mm.gif" alt="" border="0">

The above examples all works on my "TEST" CF server, but not on my "Production" server.  What baffles me is how I can display the image using regular HTML.  Need help bad!  sulzener

have you applied the most recent hotfix? I know that others have had issues with images in CFDOCUMENT and the hotfix has helped.

Yes. I've applied the latest hotfixes.  I've read several posts on Macromedia's website.  I've since learned that otherpeople have this problem.  They give a few suggestions and none work for me.  My logic works fine on 2 test servers and "production" server if testing code from localhost.  So I'm thinking this may be related to some authority issue on the "Production" server.  What's weird is that I can display the image using regulat HTML.  I'll wait to see what others might provide.

Are you blocking certain browser type atr the server level? CFdocument uses a UA with -java in it and I know some websites are configured to bounce certain UA patterns. Additionally try to use full image paths instead of relative ones.

I am using IIS on Windows Server 2003.  Where would I check to see if this is being blocked?  I have tried the full image path.  Still does not work.  I cannot figure out why it will work on two other servers and not on my main production server.  The page displays perfecting, but when I wrap it in CFDOCUMENT, it fails!

I've tried all the suggestions.  They do not work for me.  I've decided to not use CFDOCUMENT.  I consider the comments in the question valuable, but none resolved my problem.  Should I delete this question or split the awards.  The comments were very helpful, but they just didn't work. How shall I proceed?
