Is there any programs out there to test confusion apps? ie form testing, bad data testing, etc etc...
What are some of the ones that you have used with good experiences?

You probably want user tests as well - programs will only ever be able to test general things - things that you as a programmer should be able to think of and test yourself - although more efficiently.
However, a program cannot look at your site and see if certain things make sense or are confusing, etc. For that you need a user that can look at layout/images/colors/etc as well as just form fields.
Yes but automated testing is supposed to be used in addition to user based testing.
It works best on situations where you have a huge project so you set up a test, then you can set up the automated test so that when you change a different part of the application you can run the test to ensure the changes did not break a pre-working part.
But with the time it takes to set up the test properly
1) You have to know what should be tested
2) It is not worth it on smaller projects
This kindof depends on how your applications are setup. If you are testing the interface itself, then it doesn't matter what language you chose, it all generates HTML. I don't know of any applications out there that simulate users submitting data and clicking buttons and whatnot, but there might be.
If your display is separate from your controls (ie you use methods to handle all of your data processing), then you can do unit testing. Look into CFUNIT. It is unit testing for Cold Fusion. The idea is to setup a number of predetermined tests that can be automatically run. Of course since they are predetermined, you're not going to catch many problems outside of those you wrote tests for. Also, these tests interface directly with your data components, so it would not test any of your display code. This means that you could test what WOULD happen if a user submitted a blank field to a page, however you could not test what would happen if the user clicked the submit button the form. It's a test of your serverside components.
Unit testing is very labor intensive, and requires that your application is setup to allow for it. Converting a large scale system to allow for unit testing would be a large project.
