The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Where have all the Experts gone?  Long time passing!

I thought perhaps the Experts are on Christmas vacation or all in Guru Conference or following rainbows, but then, those open questions go back a ways. How does one get the Experts to help? I understand lots of you are trying to get your points, but time is so damn important, I'd rather, at least once in a while, get the Experts to jump on it. Or does getting your Wizardardry mean you get to visit lofty places where there are no bits, just pretty pictures?

So, where are all the Experts, not to mention Guru's, Wizards, Sages, etc. Where are they? I have three open questions but not quite enough help. And yes, I admit this still beats paying 200 bucks an hour to some left-brained young guy who can’t rememer to comb his hair.

I've taken what seems lots of time to explain in detail what I'd like to do. But judging by what I see, I usually overdo the detail.  Would I be better off using lower case i’s. u no wt I mn?

And yes, I understand I can write yet another question and point to the old question. But that seems a bit lame, and takes more time. I can’t quite bring myself to put my bucket under that leak cause I'm stumped on how this really works, if it does. And I know I’m not too bright and I'm not too good at sitting and waiting. Okay, yes, I sit too much but waiting? Hate it. Even worse than watching a Bush press conference.

From what I read, 500 points should cause tons of brain power to come leaping to the rescue. I've had some good help, but I'm spoiled by EE and want more please.

And yes, I probably have this in the wrong place. If you want yer points, lad, don't point it out!

So, I'm offering 500 points to the person who explains this best. I need to learn. It must be me. I must have misunderstood something somewhere. I've read the agreement and the rules but I don't see anything which covers inactivity or persnickety. I’m willing to learn, and part with my hard earned, ah, that is, plentiful points.
