Replacing Image Tags From A Database Field

Hi everyone-

I have a database of articles. The image reference found in many articles point to a place where the images can no longer be found. I want to run an update on each article and replace the images tag with the correct (New) location. Can anybody thing of a way to do this? I was thinking of somehow using regular expressions but I'm not an expert using them and this seems to be a bit more complicated than just a simple find and replace.

For example...

<img alt="" border="1" width="200" align="left" vspace="4" hspace="4" height="150" src="/village_library/articles/images/khat2.jpg" />

Needs to be replace with

<img alt="" border="1" width="200" align="left" vspace="4" hspace="4" height="150" src="http:xxx.com/images/khat2.jpg" />
