Website running on Coldfusion and ISS continually crashing

Asked by electoralcommission in ColdFusion Application Server, Miscellaneous Web Development

Tags: , ,

Hi all,
We have a number of websites that run on a Windows 2000, ISS and Coldfusion MX 6.0  platform that has recently been crashing a number of times. We restart the Coldfusion service when it occurs but the sites still remain down, only after we restart the box do the site come up again. In the Event viewer we get this message:

The data buffer created for the "ColdFusion MX Application Server" service in the "C:\WINNT\system32\cfperfmon_mx.dll" library is not aligned on an 8-byte boundary. This may cause problems for applications that are  trying to read the performance data buffer. Contact the manufacturer of this  library or service to have this problem corrected or to get a newer version  of this library.

Any ideas how to resolve this, are there any updates / patches we can apply?
