cfmail - gmail not showing html emails produced by coldfusion

i am having an issue with gmail displaying HTML emails that are produced via coldfusion. i have tried several variations and i still cant get it to display html. a sample of code is attached.

When i added the cfmailpart type=text it will display that. however, it will never display the HTML email.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

try changing param type to html

It is already set to HTML.

You could probably use some logic

cfif gmail address
just send html
don't use cfmailpart
cfelse
use cfmailpart

because in your cfmail tag you will already specify the formata of your mail
