I have a fusetalk 2.1 installation on OCldFusion6.1 on my site it has been working fine for years
now but now whenever I post or reply to a post (in the posting sub-window that pops up) I get the error
Error#
You have attempted to dereference a scalar variable of type class java.lang.String as a structure with members
The eror occurred on line 2.
Deeper examination shows that the psot is indeed getting into the database and if you refresh the parent window it will show. (normal behaviour is for it to refresh the parent window upon submit then close out the popup- the faulty behaviour is to show the above error inside the popup)
I need tips on how to debug this situation (which file I can go to) from folks that miight perchance have a similar builde (Fusetalk's CFtemplates in this case are open source excepting any cfcs) I have a similar build on other sites and I ahve copied the code over froma working site to this one to see if that would patch but I contnue to ger this same error- On the other sites for some reason they are working fine.
The site in question with the problem is www.knee1.com (unfortunately you have to register to post) all of its "sister" sites have the same implementation yet are working fine. Start Free Trial
