Why does SiteMinder provide the value of SM_USER using GetHttpRequestData() function in CF 5, NOT in CF 7 or CF 8

Why does SiteMinder provides value of SM_USER using GetHttpRequestData() function in CF 5, Not in CF 7 or CF 8?
The same code is used from the asp and the cfm templates on both servers.

CF5 and 7&8 are so different that they might as well be different programs. 7 & 8 are both java based so there may be issues related to that

I don't have siteminder so I can't check but you can see if it exists at all

We found that the cflocation coldfusion tag was the cause of the session vars disappearing when SiteMinder is installed.  Adding the explicit attribute: add token="No" to the cflocation cold fusion tag solved this issue.
