Having to clear cookies OR restart the coldfusion service in order to login using firefox

Asked by dspent in ColdFusion Application Server, Asynchronous Javascript and XML (AJAX), Firefox Web Browser

I have an application/site that was developed by someone else that is having an issue where you either have to clear cookies OR restart the coldfusion service in order for firefox to allow login.

As I stated, I did not develop the code, but I am trying to help my developer out and give him some assistance in tracking down what could be causing the problem.  Basically the site is CF 8, the form is a regular form  with AJAX and javascript for client based validation.

The wierdest thing is that this problem only occurs in Firefox.  IE, Safari, Opera, Chrome all work as they should only firefox is being problematic, but of course 70% of my visitors use firefox and this is starting to affect the bottom line.  Any help or guidance is appreciated.
