Question
when to query messages for different languages in application
I am redoing parts of a website and rather than having a different page per language I have set up a table tblMesseges with different languages in seperate columns.
My question is when would it be best for me to call these messages? Should I call them all at the beginning, meaning straight from the application.cfm file and when a person clicks on the language button to switch languages or should I have a query at the top of each page that calls the messages?

I would sugest write a query and on the fly pass the langid to it.
For example :
<cfquery name='langmsgs" datasource ="yourdsn">
Select * from where langid = < which you will pass on the select of lang ->
</cfquery>
The query 'langmsgs contains the record of the language id which you pass
this query ill be written at one place which as you think can be applicaiton.cfm .
