record count in query

I have a query where I output a maximum number of rows.

Afterwards I want to record the number of rows that were actually used in the query.
Here's the output:
<cfoutput query="EmailsTOSEND" maxrows="#getEmails.MaxEmailsPerDispatch#">

how would I state the number of rows counted in this loop?

eg1 if there are 100 emails and the max is 20 the answer would be 20
eg2 if there are only 15 emails and the max is 20 the answer would be 15
getEmails.RecordCount would give me a hundred but how could I get the value of 15 in eg2?
