ftp access

Hello I have an ftp site and I want to grant access to several users however I want each user to only have access to their own subfolder and not be able to see anyone elses.

also, I want them to acces their ftp site using:

ftp://domainname.com/foldername

if they just go to

ftp://domainname.com then I don't whant them to bea able to see any folder exept their own.

Does this make sense? and can you please tell me how to do it.

Scott:

The microsoft FTP server is pretty hopeless. I lived with it for quite a while and life was so much better when we finally went to a third party solution. In our case I went with the Serv-U server from Rhinosoft. I've got one user who now has 50 folders mapped to his FTP account so he can service all his client's websites with the one login, whereas before he had to log in to each website separately. That alone made it worth it, and the security is much better.

Create a user account template with home directory c:\Inetpub\ftproot\%USERNAME%  ( or D: whichever has inetpub)and create user account using this template. Automatically a homedirectory will be created for each user and he will be connected to it when using ftp.
