I made web service wicth works localy in IIS - i can reach service in Asp .net web app . But if I copy web service asmx file from local machine to web server , and navigate to file in my aps project app - Add web reference tool opens "File download dialog - with options save and open". I check with with web administrator and net framework and asp1.1 art installed on server. It's my first web service and probably i should to publish those files - not just copy.

I assume you are using Windows 2000 Server
1. Go to your web server
2. Open your IIS
3. Right click your machine name, select Properties
4. Click Edit button next to WWW Service
5. Switch to Home Directory tab
6. Click Configuration button
7. Under App Mappings, you should see .asmx is associated with .Net Framework there.
If not, then you need to reinstall your .Net Framework.
HTH.
