virtual directory setup in IIS on XPPRO/XPMCE. can I only have 1 deafult website?
Hey all,
This has bugged me for some time, I have XP Pro and XP Media Centre edition.
I have 1 default website then use Virtual Directories for additional website I want to add.
Is there any way when I add these virtual directories that I can get them to act like a default website eg.
For one of my Virtual Directy websites (http://localhost/myvirtua
/image/image.gif
obviously its going to look at root and thus it is referencing the root and cant see the image.
Is there any way around this, or do I require windows server 2003 to do this?
Any help would be great.

You can only have one active website at a given time in IIS on XP.
You can edit the Metabase to create additional sites but only one can be started.
You will need to move to a server product to have more then one active website.
