contact form 'Reply-To line:

Zone: Microsoft IIS Web Server

I host my own website using IIS 6.0 on a windows 2003 server with front page server exstensions installed, on my website I have a contact form that when filled in is emailed to a given email address but appears to come from the person who filled the form in by means of ticking the box 'Reply-To Line:' which is reached when editing in FrontPage 2003 Form properties-->Options-->E-Mail Results in the 'Reply-To line enter the form field that corisponds to the email address line in the form.

On the server when installing & configuring Front Page server exstensions, you have to set installation defaults with respect to SMTP server, from address and reply to email address. You cannot leave any of these blank or email sending via forms on this server will not work. You can then administer settings for the specific site, again with respect to SMTP server, from address and reply to email address. You have to set these settings as you cannot leave them blank.

no matter what I do on the form its self the email reply to address of the form when filled in is always what is set on the server, not the email field from the form field section within the form.

does anyone know how to sort this out? clearly its a feature to have forms appear to come from the person who filled them out to assist in things like auto replys
