Installing Sharepoint 2007 and Exchange 2007 on the same server
I am attempting to install Sharepoint 2007 and Exchange 2007on the same Windows 2003 R2 server. I have both apps installed, but I can only get one of them working at a time. I installed Exchange first and it was working fine with a host header. Then I installed Sharepoint Server 2007, and it disabled the default website where exchange owa was installed. When I try to reenabled the default website, it gives me a port conflict error. When I add a host header to the sharerpoint - 80 website, then the sharepoint site doesn't work. I also tried extending the sharepoint site with a host header and that didn't fix anything. Since got "page cannot be displayed. I have seen solutions for fixing this issue with 2003 apps, but not with 2007. Please advise.
Port 80 is made for Sharepoint 2007 as per Microsoft :). Better you first install Sharepoint 2007 and then install exchange server.

Tried the suggested sequence, but that didn't work. As soon as I installed exchange, the stopped the default website where it was installed because sharepoint was using port 80. I also tried added an additional IP address to the network card and assigning each website its own IP, but that still didn't work. Please advise.

So, will this address my exchange issue also? I am currently able to either one or the other working, just not both at the same time. When I read the instructions, I can tell how it actually helps me. Will this process give a way for me to have multiple websites on port 80? Do I need to do anything special with exchange after installing sharepoint with these instructions.
Sorry for so many quesitons. I am just trying to get this resolved as soon as possible. Thanks!!

Last question - Does it matter which order the installations take place in?
I don't think so, we installed Exchange first and then Sharepoint. Exchange creates into the DWSite as it needs an ientifier of 1 to work. Sharepoint creates sharepoint - 80.
I would love to know exactly what steps you took to get MOSS2007 and OWA2007 working on the same box.
