We are running windows 2003 sp2 with internet explorer 7. &nbsp;All our pc's are running xp sp1 with internet explorer version 6.<br />

When we were installing the server, I change the regional settings to be based in Australia however didnt change the .default user settings. &nbsp;We followed this up with an install of IIS and .NET framework.<br />
<br />
We have since forced the settings to be applied to the .DFAULT user.<br />

In the registry the user accounts<br />
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18 has the regional setting of Australia<br />
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-19 has the regional setting of USA<br />
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20 has the regional setting of USA<br />

The .NET programmers are now having some problems with the date in the programming of the website. &nbsp;They are querying whether the problem is related to the regional settings and the IUSR_ or IWAM accounts?<br />
<br />
Unfortunately I know nothing of the .NET programming and dont particular want to rebuild the server to prove them right or wrong.<br />

Regional settings and .NET programming

IIS is Internet Information Services, the web server included with Windows Server operating systems. All current versions are built on a modular architecture; modules can be added or removed individually so that those required for specific functionality are installed. The full installation of IIS includes HTTP, security, content, compression, caching, logging and diagnostics.

The .NET Framework is not specific to any one programming language; rather, it includes a library of functions that allows developers to rapidly build applications. Several supported languages include C#, VB.NET, C++ or ASP.NET.

.NET Programming

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
