Moving the WSS SharePoint Services directory from c:\inetpub
We are setting up the new web server that is going to house our SharePoint Services V3.0 store. What I am looking to do is move the WSS directory with the SharePoint Virtual Directories to another drive on the server.
In trying to do this the page does come up but the content is not there, just a lot of little unexpected errors on the page. I am just trying to avoid using the default Inetpub directory for anything we are going to be publishing.
Your thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated !!

Okay I gotcha !
I see where this is done !
So the question that remains then is will I be able to move the central admin site to the same area or does this "Need" to be in the default inetpub directory!

Not sure you can move CA site though. Since there are some registries involve, copy it over to another location will not work.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, this is a fresh install so all I have right now is the Central Admin site and the default sharepoint site created on port 80. I wan these to be moved so that nothing exists in the C:\InetPub directory.
Can I do this or do they have to be located here. From what I am gathering from you is any new sites can be created in a new location though?
