Browse All TopicsOkay, I found this solution, but the Author didn't elaborate on how to reinsall the CAS role on an Exchange 2007 server? So, my question is: How do I reinstall the CAS role on an Exchange 2007 server? I've inculded the following thread to help...
--------------------------
Question: I installed the Security Rollup 1 for Exchange 2007 and had a lot of problems: it changed all the Exchange Services to Disabled and returned an installation failure (via Microsoft Updates). Also a Domain Controller Security Policy was damaged, so RPC did not work. I managed to repair the whole thing, Exchange 2007 is up again. The only problem: IIS virtual directories do not work.
I made a remove as it is told in the Exchange-Console and now tried to make a new-owavirtualdirectory in the shell. This fails:
New-OwaVirtualDirectory:
An error occurred while creating the IIS virtual directory 'IIS://....../W3SVC/1/ROOT
The only directory that was possible to re-create via shell is the OAB directory.
Zones:
Exchange Email Server, Microsoft IIS Web Server, Windows 2003 Server

vasanthgnb:Did you use the format New-OWAVirtualDirectory -Name OWA -OWAVersion Exchange2007 ??
Can you paste the whole error message that you are getting.
Worst come worst you can try to remove the CAS role from the server and re-install it.

Conbrio:It did not work using the format you suggested: same error message...
New-OwaVirtualDirectoy: An error occured while creating the IIS virtual directoy 'IIS//nt03.xxxxx.de/W3SVC/
