What do the instructions mean?

Asked by volking in Microsoft IIS Web Server, Active Server Pages (ASP), Programming for ASP.NET

I am attempting to use
     ASP.NET Technical Articles
How to Share Session State Between Classic ASP and ASP.NET
     http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa479313.aspx

In above article, "Steps to Set Up the Demo Program", says ...
     4. Turn off ASP Session under the ASP configuration tab.

Be danged if I CANNOT FIND an ASP configuration tab, so I ignored Step 4 and kept going.

Problem is ... I setup the demo and the ASPX page works as expected but the ASP page does not. So I figure I messed up step #4, since I IGNORED the instruction!!! (grin)

Can someone tell me what that the above instruction is asking me to do?
I'm running IIS 5.1
but the article is dated 2003
