Web Connections on Windows Vista

Asked by YZlat in Microsoft IIS Web Server, Active Server Pages (ASP), Windows Vista

Tags: ASP, IIS

I am trying to install and configure web site on Windows Vista laptop. I am not familiar with Windows Vista and having some trouble.
First I went to Windows features turn on or off and selected IIS, then every option in FTP Publishing, IIS 6 Management Compatibility.

Then I created a folder in wwwroot directory and put my asp files there. But when I tried to open my page using http://localhost/MyApp/index.asp I got an error
"Localhost is not set up to establish a connection on port www service http with this computer". I suppose I configured something incorrectly or simply missed something. Can someone help?Start Free Trial
