Browse All TopicsCurrently we have windows 2003 with SP2, IIS 6.0 is installed on the same server, an application is deployed on IIS, the problem is the following:
IIS on the server sometimes stops responding, when I go to the server, I see the IIS admin servcie is stopped, Right click and then restart it, it works successfully, I attached the event error messages displayed on the server.

In the past, events like these have been reported to be caused by some Antivirus or Antispam software (check here: http://support.microsoft.c om/kb/8217 49/en-us). Especially Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Services have a bad record for this.

So, if possible, deactivate your security software for a short while and see whether the crashes continue. If they don't, contact the vendor's support.

You will most likely find the name of the faulty module right at the beginning of the IISState analysis log.
