SBS, How to move OWA to another IIS web server

Asked by MikeBroderick in Microsoft IIS Web Server, Exchange Email Server, SBS Small Business Server

How do I set up my web server (not the default one) to run Outlook Web Access and the rest of the exchange functions? If this is a really bad idea, please tell me that too.

I have a 2003 SBS Premium SP2 with the latest upgrades running Exchange 2003 SP2. For some reason years ago I decided to stop the default server and create a new one. I would like to access email from a web browser using mydomain/exchange. I copied the following virtual directories from the default server into my web server:
ExAdmin
Exchange
Exchange-oma
ExchWeb
Microsoft-Serve-Active-Sync
OMA

It seemed to work. I can get my mail and send mail via a web browser. My concern is that copying virtual directories like this seems to be the motherlode of shade-tree programming. Am I on the right track or am I opening a can of worms? I do not need this function and I do not want do damage something. I will also consider going back to the defailt server. If what I am doing is on the right track, please tell me what other steps I need to take.

Thank you
