i m using Windwos Xp Sp3 , IIS 5 & 6 , what i want to access my local host thay asked Password. i have only one user administrator with no password.
How can i reslove thsi issue?

go to directory security in inetmgr and make sure your user has necessary access to the website.

if its okay, do enable anomyous access in order to avoid username/passwd prompt.

1. Then right click the default ste and repropagate the permissio.
2. Reset the IUSR PWD in security tab...
3. Unmark Integrated Windows authentication in IIS.

if you have anonymous authentication checked, you have to make sure that the anonymous user has read permissions on the folder of the website.
