Browse All TopicsHi
I've read a fair bit about this but there are still some holes in my understanding.
I currently have a single public web address pointing at my W2003 IIS6 Server and I also access echange via OWA.
I want to add another completely unrelated public web address to serve up a friends web site.
I understand this is done via the inclusion of header info when setting up the web within IIS.but I don't quite get the final bits
1) Do all existing web sites (they are all /<subdir> off my main site) have to have headers too?
2) Do I need to change my exchange/OWA setup at all?
3) I understand the two seperate web addresses have to be served up via seperate port addresses. Port 80 is currently routed straight through the firewall to port 80 internally. If I select to use 8080 for the scond web site wat routes do I need through the firewall?
4) The new web site is a frontpage produced on using frontpage extensions - does this change anything?
Many Thanks

Thats fine you can have unlimited websites running on port 80.
Create a new website in iis. Specify the host header value ie www.my2ndwebsite.com leave IP address as it is.
It will then listen on port 80 for incoming requests for that site onyl by inspecting the http host header.
