The server is collocated and managed by the datacenter so fortunately I don't have to do much configuration. Unfortunately the project really requires a statistics package for us to see what is being called the most. As a Linux guy I am most familiar with AWSTATS and I have used it in the past on IIS 6 servers. Has anyone here succesfully gotten in integrated with IIS 7? Is IIS 7 dramatically different and going to require lots of time to make this work?

Hi,
There is only good news for you: if you have managed to get awstats running on IIS6, then there will be no significant difference getting it to run on IIS7.
You only need perl, which is handled essentially the same betwen IIS7 & IIS6, and path mapping between the IIS web site and the filesystem, which again is essentially the same.
In setup terms, the GIU looks a bit different but tends to be more frustrating for a windows expert (who is familiar with the old interface) than a linux expert (who is relatively unfamiliar with the old interface).
Cheers!
