Browse All TopicsOK, I have a friend who wants to make available from a home server a folder containing jpeg images, and would like the index page to display thumbnails, rather than just directory listing of filenames. Why can't he use an image hosting site? Probably could, but doesn't want to....
I've seen a bit of code requiring Python, but don't know if it works with IIS/Windows and wouldn't have the first clue on installing it (novice in this area). Another involving a dll file that would do it for you with an ActiveX, but that was $200USD.
(IIS on Windows 2003 - v6 I think?)
Any suggestions?
Or would you say the easy answer is it cannot be done "easily"?

There are several programs that will generate web site album pages that include the thumbnails and full images. Photoshop Elements, free Picassa (from Google), the asp.net Personal Site Starter Kit (http://www.asp.net/downlo ads/starte r-kits/per sonal/), etc.
