Browse All TopicsOK, so here is how this mess started. Our CRM (oasiscrm.com) runs on our main server, which is also our Exchange server (both 2003). We requested a support session with them for a couple of issues, one of which was to increase the timeout of .asp, so that a couple of very large internal productivity reports could run without timing out.
The rep apparently did not know what she was doing. She applied some setting universally instead of just only to Oasis. My lead technician and one of the lead techs at Oasis spent a few hours cleaning things up.
Now my lead tech is out of town on a long weekend and I am going to try to hit the problem that is left. Here are the symptoms:
1. Outlook clients will not connect to Exchange. They do internally in our office, but when trying to connect from home (via HTTP settings) they cannot.
2. The OWA login page no longer comes up. Rather, we get a Windows dialog that prompts for username and password. That WILL let you into your mail, but it doesn't time out. It will stay up for hours on end if the browser is left open.
So...we know the problem is somewhere in IIS, but I don't know where to start. I wanted to try to troubleshoot this today before we open on Monday, thus the question. All help is appreciated, and I hope everyone in America is having a great holiday weekend!

I have the Forms based OWA page back and working partly. If I type in https://domain/exchange it redirects to the https://domain/exchweb/* automatically and gives me the OWA login like it used to. If I type http://domain/exchange or just domain/exchange it goes to the old login pop-up that does not time out. It used to just redirect automatically to the https://domain/exchweb/*. Is there a way to put that back in again. I'm still working on sorting out the rpc-http issue. It looks like everything is there to work but a fine detail somewhere in there thats causing it to not connect still.I'll keep you posted on that. Should I copy the webpage address and just manually do a re-direct or will that affect other items.
