ActiveSync Error

Hello experts,

have a bit of an odd problem. My WM6 device active sync fails with the following error code: 0x80883001.

Also I have used www.testexchangeconnectivity.com and active sync to my server fails with the following error ' Attempting to test GetItemEstimate command for Inbox Folder
Error received while processing GetItemEstimate Response
 Additional Details
Exchange ActiveSync command GetItemEstimate failed with error code InvalidSyncKey.'

Has anyone had this problem before? Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

I would appreciate a fast solution.

Thanks

Markellosp - Any news with your problem?  It has been a while and hopefully you have managed to sort this out, but if not, please post back here and we can offer further advice.
I'm having the same problem but if you want to double check you active sync setup use the Exchage Remote Connectivity Analizer at https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ . I'm getting this error on a handfull of phones, diffrent brands so I'm assuming it has something to to with Exchange.  This just started to happen a few weeks ago so it might be an update that is causing the probem.
chilemoore - if you want to open up a question I can help you troubleshoot the problem.
The link you posted I have already posted in this question, but at least it re-inforces a good site.
There is also the ActiveSync App from iTunes (free) which can help troubleshoot iPhones!
Sorry, didn't see you refrenced the site.  I did however open a new question (24736444).  Tks.

ASKER

thanks alanhardisty I appreciate it

For all the forum members I also managed to fix the problem with active sync (error code 0x85010014).

Solution: 1) Disable FBA on the Exchange Virtual Directory--(found in the Exchange manager)
2) On IIS snap shot--Default website-properties- Directory security- Access and Authentication control--Auth access should be set to Integrated Windows Auth and Basic.

I am using Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003.

Hope this info is useful to other members.
