Question

The installer was interrupted before <AppName> could be installed.

I am trying to run a setup program for an IIS application and right after I start to run the setup program I get the message "The installer was interrupted before <AppName> could be installed. You need to restart the installer again". I cannot get beyond this message. This application requires .Net FW 3.5. The few notes I have found talk about running aspnet_reg but this does not exist for .Net FW 3.5. Any clues as to what may be causing this and how to get past it? This is on a W2003 Server running IIS 6.0

I have had the tech support staff from Tectura try to install ReQlogic and they could not get it to work either. I had to install the application onto another server where it installed just like it always does. So it was something in the environment of that other server that was the problem.

No solution was ever found. The server is now at the bottom of the river.
