Merge replication over the Internet

I wanna some clarification regarding merge replication I have done the merge replication between two local servers and it s working fine with the help of RPC.

But I need to implement the same over the Internet  I wanna to keep both publisher and distributors are in the same network but subscription should work over Internet net and vice versa .
And also i need to configure merge replication with local server to Internet for updating
the online data in to local system.Does any one have any idea which would be great help to me.
