It is now working. I have no idea why. The replace option was grayed out, but now, it is available. Can't explain it, but my problem is solved.
Thanks for the reply.

Browse All TopicsI have gone through the process of creating a temporary website on the same IIS server, creating the CSR from this temp site, installing the new GoDaddy SSL cert (2048 bit) and then removing the certificate from the temporary site.
I have been instructed to run through the certificate wizard on the production server and select "Replace the current certificate", but this option is grayed out.
I will note that the current production certificate is a 1024 bit certificate from GoDaddy. I purchased a renewal from GoDaddy, but I was required to generate a 2048 bit CSR due to new requirements. The new certificate that I am trying to install is 2048 bit.
How can I replace this existing certificate with little to no downtime on our production website? At this point, do I need to Remove the current certificate and then install the new one or is there a way to make the replace function work?
Thank you very much for your help.

How did you remove the certificate from the existing site. Is it possible you removed the certificate from the server entirely.
Open the certificate management component and see if the certificate is still there.
