Scheduled Task

Hi All,

I have a naive question regarding the scheduled tasks on Windows 2003.
I had created a scheduled task on the server  and then another guy started the tool with his credentials using 'Run as...' option.
The task ended. Now I simply started it again and I wanted to find out with whose credentials is the task running. Is there a way to find out the same ?

You will set the schedule task under the logon credentials manager built into the task itself. You can check this by right clicking on the task and select properties.

Hi MarkMichael ,

Just to make doubly sure , can you please confirm if the 'Run as:' will have the name of the user under which it is running ?
This in fact is critical for the task that I am running. Hence confirming the same.
Also, is there  no command prompt line which can confirm under whose credentials the task is running ?

Yes you are correct. The task will run with the credentials in the "Run as:" field.
Also the command "schtasks" can be used to confirm (e.g. "schtasks /query /v /fo list")
Schtasks can also be used in place of the Scheduled Task dialog interface.
