Trying to 301 Redirect with IIS6 and helicon isapi_rewrite 3
I have 3 domain names that all resolve to the same web server
I'd like 2 of the old domain to 301 permanently redirect to my new domain name with isapi rewrite. i've tried tons of code snippets from the web and none of them seem to work.
example of functionality i'm looking for: old.site.org AND www.old.site.org redirected to www.newsite.com
here is my current rewriting code (http.conf)
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
these rewrite rules are for my drupal friendly urls. i'm guessing the code would have to go before these rules.
any help would be greatly apprecated.

that did it guys. didn't know that IIS was smart enough to parse the incoming request and redirect it like that. thanks so much.
steps:
1. added website with naming of the urls that i wanted to redirect
2. in the 'home directory' tab i set the 'the content from this resource should come from:' to 'a redirection to a URL. then entered the new domain name.
3. checked 'the exact URL entered above' and 'a permanent redirection for this resource' options
did that process for both old domain names.

Well the code you have posted is for apache and you want it for IIS.
Have you tried just enabling the redirect feature within IIS?
