Thanks for the reply gardavis.
I think it is likely a memory leak ... maybe caused by Excel itself or the fact we have are heavily using session variables.

This application call Excel DCOM Object and intermittently looses session upon completion.
It always happens when two users are making requests simultaneously for same or different reports.We've identified that the application gets restarted and we suspect the application pool is getting recycled.
Is there a setting or option in IIS or dcom objects to prevent this?

You will have to find out what is killing the application which is why you are losing your sessions. It could be a memory leak, a bad SQL statement pulling in too much data, recursion, etc.
To save your sessions across an app recycle, use the state server option of saving sessions. You may have to start the ASP State Service in the Services.
