Browse All TopicsHi,
When using ADSI to set IIS properties, we found that even the properties EnableDirBrowsing and EnableDefaultDoc set properly, the IIS still does not pick up the values properly when the IIS setting is viewed though the Internet Service Manager. And if set them by the Internet Service Manager, the settings never affect the values of those properties when viewed though ADSI viewer. But we can set other properties such as DefaultDoc, LogPluginClsID and a lot of others. The phenomenon is look like there were no any relationship between these particular properties and real IIS setting.
Who have the answer? We appreciate your help.

Restart the World Wide Publishing Service. Also, the IIS metabase is finicky. If you break it (via ADSI mods), you may inadvertently break IIS. Remove IIS from the server, and reinstall it. Try your ADSI mods again.
good luck
