Ok i have a strange problem.
I have a proxy pac file running on my network.. its a very basic pac file that basicaly says
If there is a blank host name or a host name with our domain name suffix it gets sent direct..
you type in an ip address on our network it goes direct.
other wise it uses the proxy server..
however strangly. if i only have the automatic detect settings in IE then some web sites hang.. (such as this one.)
But if i also check the proxy server and enter a proxy manualy. Then the pages load fine. (however looking at the network traffic i can see that the pac file is still being accessed by IE and the rules are still being followed)
any one have any idea why this might be?
