Would like to develope an app for mobile devices. How may I learn to do it??

I would like to develope an app for mobile devices(BlackBerry, HandHeld, phones) that may help me to record in realtime some information to a database, what do i need to start as far as I know with J2ME allows to do this.

Hope any of you experts may guide me about what IDE to use, any tutorials about this subject or good books in the market.

I need to learn as fast as possible.
