How to reset the WMI writer without restarting the computer

Asked by ozdan in Backup Exec, Windows 2003 Server

Tags: , , ,

After completing a successfull backup in Backup exec 12 the next backup fails with AOFO not enough disk space on the device running the AOFO to create an increment file.  Most times this is an error.  Other times it is an exception.  I have been able to narrow it down to the WMI writer not resetting after a backup job.  It stays in a state of 5 Waiting for completion.  A restart of the server will reset this and another sucessfull backup will occur.  Any suggestions?Start Free Trial
