Error after starting the laptop

Scheduler.ink is something to do with the ATI graphics drivers. Try uninstalling the graphics drivers/reinstalling. You can download the driver from Dell.

Please confirm whether it is scheduler.INK or scheduler.LNK

You can also check what is starting it as follows:

Start -> Run -> msconfig -> OK

Click on "Startup" tab

Then review the items there for anything that references scheduler.ink
You can even selectively disable it there.

if it is recent, a system restore to a previous date helps you out quickly !

Also, sure it isnt scheduler.Lnk?

If it has a typo in the path windows wont be able to open it and will fail with that error message....

OK, here is the culprit from the above Autoruns log:

+ Scheduler.lnk.disabled                  c:\documents and settings\avi arditi.jmme\start menu\programs\startup\scheduler.lnk.disabled

It is Scheduler.LNK.disabled, as we all suspected, not INK even though they look similar in lower-case.

It appears to be harmless, probably left over by some earlier application. just uncheck this entry in Autoruns, then reboot, and the error on startup should be gone.
