My computer has been really slow lately and my DVD drives have failed, one after the other. If you are on a Dell then get Dell's bootable diagnostic CD or you can run the Dell Diagnostics from the utility partition by pressing F10 during power-up.
Also take the time to build a UBCD4Win CD it contains all the best freeware to detect and repair most any computer problem. It's a must have tool.

Oh, okay. Well, I downloaded the Ultimate Boot CD ISO and burned it with Nero but for some reason it doesn't boot up. I have my BIOS or whatever set to load CD drives first. I get the same thing with BartPE. I was able to make a bootable BartPE CD one time but it no longer works. I don't remember changing any settings when burning it and I'm pretty sure I used Nero.
Hmm, maybe I'll look at my BIOS settings or whatever some more. I am trying to boot from my second DVD drive because my first drive isn't working properly but that shouldn't make a difference because I set the BIOS to load CD drives first. It didn't say anything about loading the first drive only. But I'll play around with the settings some more later.
