Hi
We have an HP DL380 G5 server, ServerA, 2 x quad core CPU's, that is running an application. There is also a similar server, Server B, but with 1x single-core CPU running the same app.
For some reason, the application runs intermittently slowly on the quad core, but is always perfect on the ServerB.
There is nothing in HP SIM or the Event Viewer to indicate why this is.
To find out if the issue is server hardware related, we swapped the hard disks of ServerA into a completely new server, ServerC, and tested again, but still received the same issues.
The only place the fault could be now is with either the hard disks or the fact that the application doesn't run well on quad core technology.
If I wanted to run a perfmon on ServerC to check if the hard disks were faulty, whilst the application was running and experiencing the slowness, what would be the best counters to use?
OS on both servers is Windows 2003 SP2.
Thanks in advance.
