you could just uninstall the unknown device... if the HW is still connected .. it should pop-up as .. New Hardware Found.. which would show you what

To identify drivers for your pc do the following:
Start-Programs-Accessories
both four digits long.
Look up those numbers here:
http://www.pcidatabase.com/index.php
This will tell you the manufacturer and the chip number. Â First port of call is the manufacturer's website. Â If no joy there, try a driver database like Driverguide:
