Q35 Express Chipset driver for Windows Server 2003?

Asked by KrogerMIS in Drivers

Tags: Dell, Optiplex, 755

I have a new Dell Optiplex 755 on which I've loaded Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-bit). I've applied SP2.  The box uses Intel's GMA3100 integrated graphics.  Device Manager shows two yellow exclamation points for "Display adapters": "Intel Q35 Express Chipset Family" and "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".

I've searched all over drivers for the Q35 chipset for Windows 2003 with no luck.  I've tried a number of drivers that sounded like they might work, but didn't.  I've tried Intel's Chipset Identification Utility, but it won't run on this machine.  Any suggestions?

There's also an exclamation point for "PCI Simple Communications Controller" that I can't seem to get rid of.  The machine has no modem, all ports appear to be recognized, the NIC works fine.  Again, I've tried a number of seemingly related drivers to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated,
