Asked by STONEPLASTICS in Windows XP Operating System, Drivers, Miscellaneous Networking
I have a laptop, Dell Latitude E5500. It has windows xp. A few months ago something weird started happening where if my ethernet adapter was disconnected and the wireless was connected, I would not have any network connectivity until I actually disabled the ethernet adapter. It is important to note that I have my ethernet adapter set up to take a static IP, and this issue does not occur when using DHCP. Seems to me like this is some sort of routing issue on the laptop but I am unsure how to go about fixing it. I have removed and reinstalled all the network drivers but got no results from that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
