What is Winternal's ERD Commander ?

Hi friends !

I want to know about Winternals ERD Commander 2003. My friend has the CD but we dont know how to use it.

Can anyone tell me what is it ?
What this CD is used and in what circumstances ?
When I boot from this CD, it gives many options like&

1. ERD Commander
2. MS-DOS boot
3. CIA Commander
4. Partition Manager etc.

What are these options ? and how can I use them ?

Please explain me the features of this CD point to point. It would be better if you can give me general overview first. If there is a good web link that explains this CD and its features well, then send the link.
